Your training
When you join Capital One, you will start with a two-week induction, which will provide you with training on all systems you wil be using in your role and give you an introduction to Capital One. A comprehensive range of structured assimilation, developmental and bespoke courses are also offered in-house. If we don't offer what you're looking for, we'll do our utmost to find it. There are also many formal and informal department and role development sessions, all of which are designed to give you every opportunity to really shine.

Monitoring your progress
Every three months, you will have a performance review. Afterwards, you and your manager will work together to create your personal Development Action Plan. This will provide a framework or blueprint for strengthening your individual competencies and reaching your career goals. The review also forms the basis of performance-based rewards and promotions.
Developing your career
So then. You're rather enjoying life at Capital One and it shows. But what happens when you're ready to move to higher things; when you're ready to accept a fresh challenge and added responsibility? Your Development Action Plan will help you to identify your goals and the steps you need to take to reach them. When the time is right, you will be able to apply for suitable internal vacancies, with the full support and encouragement of your manager. As vacancies arise, they are communicated by email or posted on the intranet. It's then up to you to apply for positions and build your career with Capital One.
